304 Stainless Steel

Why do we make our designer Towel rails and radiators from Type 304 Graded Stainless Steel than other cheaper alternatives?

To give the towel rail / designer radiator a prolonged existence and better corrosion protection in the market.

304 Stainless steel towel rails are one of the highest grades in the market these are a new line of stainless steel towel rails.

This type of Stainless Steel is environmental friendly.

Type 304 Stainless Steel has a high resistance to rust.

Stainless steel by its own nature and properties will not corrode or flake. It also is easy to clean and is completely hygienic with no recognized health risks. Stainless steel is produced from 90% recycled metal, is manufactured environmentally and is 100% recyclable itself. Our towel rails and radiators will last a lifetime as they are manufactured from Type 304 Stainless Steel welds. Small marks and scratches can be polished out so the towel rail or radiator of your choice will at all times look fantastic. This makes a towel rail or radiator of this class the best decision to make in order to heat your home. As our towel rails and radiators are made from a Type 304 Stainless Steel, it holds back rust unlike some other towel rails and radiators which possess a lesser grade.

Type 304 Stainless Steel is a variation of the basic ‘18/8’ grade, Type 302, with higher chromium and lower carbon content. This lower carbon content minimises chromium carbide precipitation due to welding and it’s susceptibility to intergranular corrosion. Type 304 Stainless Steel can be exposed continuously to a maximum temperature of 899°C (1650°F) without appreciable scaling. For intermittent exposure, the maximum temperature is around 816°C (1500°F). Types 304 Stainless Steel have very good drawability. Their combination of low yield strength and high elongation permits successful forming of complex shapes.

Why stainless steel and not chrome

Stainless steel by its nature will not corrode or flake, it is also easy to clean and totally hygienic with no known health risks, thus it has been used in the food industry for many years.
Stainless steel is produced from over 90% recycled metal, manufactured environmentally and is 100% recyclable itself.

Sussex Range radiators will last a lifetime, manufactured from 304 (catering grade) stainless steel with 316 (marine grade) stainless steel welds. Small marks or scratches can be polished out so they will always look great, these stunning durable radiators are the best heating choice for your home.

Materials of Construction

All towel rails are constructed from 100% stainless steel including the brackets. The towel rail can be cleaned using any available stainless steel cleaning product, and polished with a soft cloth. Small scratches and marks can be removed using metal polishes.

Central Heating

Centre pipe dimensions are as illustrated on the table below.
All Models are constructed from 100% stainless steel thus are suitable for any plumbing system including open/hot water systems.
All rails/radiators are pressure tested to 12 bar at two separate stages during production.
All rails/radiators have been fitted with half inch BSP female tapings.
BTU/Watt output figures quoted on all our products are based on ΔT=60K. Please consult a plumber or a heating engineer to accurately calculate the output needed for your project.
Important! We cannot offer our guarantee on open/hot water system use when a salt based water softener is being used.
We recommend that all plumbing work is carried out by a qualified plumber.
