All water softeners are based on the technique of ion exchange whereby the hardness (calcium) is replaced by sodium (salt) this is soft water. Again the process is simple and is as easy as plumbing in a washing machine our water softener has no flashing lights, digits or confusing programs - just an effective product that needs an inlet, outlet drain and overflow.
