Current Heat Output Information
Please note that all the outputs are a approximant on the listing due to new government legislations. All outputs are being recalculated to conform with the new EU laws and this may change the original output on some boxed outputs.
This is good news in the sense that all the outputs will be easy to understand. There are many sellers on eBay stating alleged heat outputs and thus not giving the correct outputs that conform.
Most importantly please be aware of this and do not think that the same size rail from another manufacturer will have a 50% increase in temperature, as this is not possible due to the heat output relating to surface area heated. You will find over 90% of our rails have more horizontal bars than most hence the service area is more.
We hope this explanation will make these terms clearer for you in layman’s terms. Our valued customers are important to us and we provide a first class and honest service and like to inform customers of current updates to ensure they have confidence in shopping with us.
To add to this there is also a new rating that has been issued. This is the delta 50k and 60k ratings. This refers to and conforms with the new condensing boilers that have been released in the last few years. The old 60k rating which is the old non-condensing boiler (approximately 65% the UK residents) still have in place.
Please do not be alarmed if your rail has ratings listed on the box similar to illustrated below as they are simply just different values for 50k and 60k ratings.
For example:
Output ***5 watts (***25 BTU's) @ 50k
Output **10 watts (***50 BTU's) @ 60k
This simply is a description for the functional temperature according to whether you boiler is condensing or non-condensing. New legislation means that the new boilers (condensing) work at 50k unlike older boilers working at 60k.
The best thing to do when looking at ratings is to simply look and see if you have a recent condensing boiler or a older non-condensing boiler so you are aware of the which BTU output to take notice of. Most of the rails manufactured today will come with ratings on the box measured in the new condensing rating of 50k.
