Caring For Your Tapmate Taps
To clean, wipe with a soft soapy sponge, then rinse and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, powders or wire wool to clean the tap or let paint stripper or chemical decaling agent come into contact with it.
If you live in a hard water area, lime scale may build up around the spout of your tap. Clean this off with either vinegar (acetic acid) or lemon juice. Do not attemp to remove this with a knife or any other sharp implement as this will damage the surface finish.
Troubleshooting Guide
Q. My tap is dripping?
A. This is likely to be caused by particies in the water blcking the valve. Just call our Customer Care Hotline for a replacement Valve.
Q. Hot water runs continuously even when the tap is switched off?
A. Ceramic valve faliure. Replace valve and reduce our hot water supply temperature to a maximum 65C
Q. Water expels from the spout after the tap is turned off?
A. This is common with large swan neck style spouts. It is not a fault ans is due to the surface tension of the water at the spout end breaking.
Q. Bath Shower Mixer diverter will not work properly?
A. This is likely to be due to insufficient water pressure. Please refer to the installation manual in the first instance.
Q. Tap handle is stiff operate?
A. Reduce your incoming water pressure or lower you hot water supply temperature to a maximum of 65C
Q. Swivel pout is stiff turning?
A. Apply silicone grease to spout O rings Please refer to installation manual.
