The Gledhill Stainless Lite cylinder is a mega flow type pressurised stainless steel hot water cylinder. This domestic hot water tank is made using a corrugated tube heat exchanger for a high heat transfer - at 20% faster recovery than plain tube. A Direct cylinder heats water by electricity - ideal for homes without gas or oil-fired central heating. These cylinders come with 2 immersion heaters - one for on peak and one for off peak, a temperature and pressure relief valve, a 15mm x 22mm tundish, wall mounting bracket, expansion vessel and an expansion vessel hose, meaning your fitter has everything they need to complete your installation. This Unvented hot water tank is Vertical and stands 1733mm high, giving you a capacity of 250 Litres stored hot water.

Stainless Lite Direct An unvented cylinder for use with electric
It is available in 8 different sizes ranging from 90 litres to 400 litres, with the 400 litre model capable of satisfying the hot water demands of a property with 3 bathrooms and 2 separate shower rooms.
The direct model comes complete with two immersions, one for on-peak use and one for off-peak use. Therefore the store of water can be heated utilising the off-peak electricity, making the unit extremely efficient.
All models have a temperature and pressure relief valve which is factory set at 6 bar and 95 degrees celsius.
(Please note the 90 litre model is only supplied with one immersion and the 400 litre model is supplied with two immersions for off-peak use.)
The Stainless Lite cylinders are supplied with all the quality fittings needed, according to model, including;

All Gledhill Hot Water cylinders from the stainless steel range are made from the very latest high specification grade of Duplex stainless steel, to resist all forms of corrosion, including crevice and stress, whilst its high mechanical strength gives it fantastic durability. The very latest automated welding procedures along with full post weld treatments guarantee welds that are as strong as the parent metal. Stainless Lite unvented is pressure tested in the factory to a full 12 bar which is four times the normal working pressure.
heat exchanger to give a 20% faster recovery
Gledhill unvented cylinders were the first to use a high heat transfer corrugated tube heat exchanger to give a 20% faster recovery than plain tube.
Maximising the hot water potential
The unique Gledhill diffuser used in the unvented range of stainless steel cylinders reduces turbulence when cold water enters the store by baffling the flow. The end result is that the hot water output is equal to the capacity of the cylinder. A 250 litre unvented vessel will produce 250 litres of hot water. Check out the competition as some hot water cylinders are significantly better than others. The practical benefit is that the space taken up by the cylinder is all dedicated to hot water storage and so a smaller cylinder can be chosen compared with other manufacturers products.
All Gledhill stainless steel cylinders incorporate the very latest HCFC-free EnviroFoam insulation. This has an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero and an industry leading Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 0.7. Tests show that the EnviroFoam insulation injected into the case and covering both domes achieves astonishingly low levels of heat loss, which ensures it is fully compliant with 2010 Part L requirements for both new build and replacement cylinders.
Quality guaranteed 25 year guarantee
Gledhill stainless steel cylinders come with up to a 25 year guarantee underlining the usual Gledhill confidence in its own products. Gledhill regularly have copper cylinders returned to us that they made more than 40 years ago – why should anyone expect less from stainless steel?
All our stainless steel cylinders (including vented) are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 12897 the specification for unvented water storage vessels. The cylinders have been tested by KIWA, a member of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA), and found to comply with Building Regulations G3, 2010 Part L1A or L1B, and Water Regulations.
Gledhill also operates a quality management system audited and accepted by the BSI in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2008.An unvented cylinder for use with a conventional boiler and electric
