A solar hot water cylinder stores the heat collected by solar thermal panels on your roof, cutting how much your boiler or immersion heater needs to run. Our solar cylinders are twin-coil, mains-pressure (unvented) stainless steel cylinders from Telford.

- Telford Hurricane Indirect Solar Unvented Cylinder – twin-coil solar cylinder for use with solar panels and a boiler.
- Telford Tempest Direct Unvented Solar Cylinder – a solar coil with immersion heater back-up, for homes without a boiler.
How does a solar hot water tank work?
Fluid heated by the solar panels flows through the lower coil and warms the water in the cylinder. When the panels can't provide enough heat, the upper coil (connected to your boiler) or an immersion heater raises the water to temperature.
