The Gledhill Stainless Lite cylinder is a mega flow type pressurised stainless steel hot water cylinder. This domestic hot water tank is made using a corrugated tube heat exchanger for a high heat transfer - at 20% faster recovery than plain tube. As an indirect cylinder, the water is heated by your system or open vent boiler. These cylinders come with an immersion heater for emergency hot water, a temperature and pressure relief valve, a 15mm x 22mm tundish, wall mounting bracket, expansion vessel and an expansion vessel hose, meaning your fitter has everything they need to complete your installation. This Unvented hot water tank is Vertical and stands 732mm high, giving you a capacity of 90 Litres stored hot water.

Maximising the hot water potential
The unique Gledhill diffuser used in the unvented range of stainless steel cylinders reduces turbulence when cold water enters the store by baffling the flow. The end result is that the hot water output is equal to the capacity of the cylinder. A 90 litre unvented vessel will produce 90 litres of hot water. Check out the competition as some hot water cylinders are significantly better than others. The practical benefit is that the space taken up by the cylinder is all dedicated to hot water storage and so a smaller cylinder can be chosen compared with other manufacturers products.
All Gledhill stainless steel cylinders incorporate the very latest HCFC-free EnviroFoam insulation. This has an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero and an industry leading Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 0.7. Tests show that the EnviroFoam insulation injected into the case and covering both domes achieves astonishingly low levels of heat loss, which ensures it is fully compliant with 2010 Part L requirements for both new build and replacement cylinders.
Gledhill stainless steel cylinders come with up to a 25 year guarantee underlining the usual Gledhill confidence in its own products. Gledhill regularly have copper cylinders returned to us that they made more than 40 years ago – why should anyone expect less from stainless steel?
All our stainless steel cylinders (including vented) are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 12897 the specification for unvented water storage vessels. The cylinders have been tested by KIWA, a member of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA), and found to comply with Building Regulations G3, 2010 Part L1A or L1B, and Water Regulations.
Gledhill also operates a quality management system audited and accepted by the BSI in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
An unvented cylinder for use with a conventional boiler and electric
It is available in 8 different sizes ranging from 90 litres to 400 litres, with the 400 litre model capable of satisfying the hot water demands of a property with 3 bathrooms and 3 separate shower rooms.
The indirect range has a high efficiency corrugated tube coil which is connected to a conventional boiler to heat the cylinder of water. The coils corrugated design gives much faster recovery times than can be achieved with plain tube coils.
All models have a temperature and pressure relief valve which is factory set at 6 bar and 95 degrees celsius.
(Please note all indirect models come with an on-peak back-up immersion but only the 250, 300 and 400 litre models are supplied with an additional off-peak immersion.)
Gledhill Building Products manufacture a wide range of unvented cylinders, which provide powerful, mains-pressure hot water and high flow rates ideal for homes with multiple bathrooms.
The unvented range are all manufactured from the highest grade of stainless steel, providing both strength and durability.
Stainless Lite Indirect Stainless Lite indirect is an unvented hot water storage cylinder and is provided with a high efficiency internal primary coil which is designed for use with a gas or oil boiler and is suitable for both open vented and sealed pumped primary systems. When used with a sealed heating system the boiler must incorporate its own energy cut-out overheat thermostat.
